I’m so excited to invite you to Balayage en Plein Air, a one-of-a-kind hands-on education experience hosted on the open-air patio of my salon in beautiful Summerland, just outside Santa Barbara.
This class was inspired by the French tradition of plein air painting—where artists painted outdoors to capture natural light. I’ve translated that same spirit into a signature balayage technique I’ve developed right here on the California coast. It’s intuitive, painterly, and designed to create effortless, sun-kissed color that mirrors the beauty of real sunlight.
You’ll get a front-row seat to my Santa Barbara Balayage method, rooted in both French technique and a West Coast sense of ease. Together, we’ll explore how to paint hair the way artists paint light.
What’s included:
• A live demonstration of my signature technique
• In-depth education on sectioning, brushwork and tonal placement inspired by French artistry.
• A curated mimosa bar and Parisian-inspired bites
• Q & A, tips to creating your own signature Balayage looks, and sharing my favorite hair color products.
• A creative experience designed to reconnect you with your craft while enjoying the beautiful views of an outdoor setting
• Swag bag with some of my favorite tools and products

This class is for licensed cosmetologists and cosmetology students.
**Details: Free parking along the street. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Since this class is outdoors sunscreen and a hat might be a good idea! For any reason if weather doesn’t cooperate we will take the class in the salon but you will still have a beautiful experience with an ocean view! See you soon!
